The performance of Lisa Sherman’s “Songbird” at the Count Basie last night was Magic. From start to finish Lisa held the audience in the palm of her hand while delivering Top Hits, Broadway, Jazz, County and Classic Rock to over 700 fans. She and her band were spectacular and had every age group dancing in the aisles.
Sitting in the theater that I and many of the people in the audience had grown up in made the evening the social event of the summer. The after party at Danny’s showed the love and enthusiasm that we all felt from the beginning of the evening to the small hours of the morning.
